PSA Singapore (PSA) has announced the development of the PSA Supply Chain Hub @ Tuas (PSCH), a key element of its expansion at Tuas Port. The state-of-the-art facility, expected to be completed by 2027, aims to revolutionize the logistics and supply chain landscape in Singapore.
Located strategically next to Tuas Port within the Free Trade Zone, the PSCH will integrate seamlessly with Singapore’s extensive supply chain ecosystem, enhancing connectivity and serving as a regional distribution center and container freight station. Its range of value-added services and the synergies it creates will further solidify Singapore’s position as a global logistics and supply chain leader.
Spanning over two million square feet, the PSCH will feature cutting-edge technologies, including advanced robotics and automation systems such as Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS) and the Intelligent Warehouse eXchange (iWX).
Peter Voser, Group Chairman of PSA International, emphasized that the PSCH will create significant synergy with Tuas Port, enhancing value within the port and supply chain ecosystem. “This new hub is well-positioned to support Singapore’s trade and logistics sector and the broader Southeast Asia region, serving as Singapore’s gateway to the world,” he said.
Ong Kim Pong, Group CEO of PSA International, noted that the rapidly changing global trade landscape necessitates a reevaluation of business strategies. He stated, “With the PSCH, our combined strengths will enable PSA to leverage our extensive port and logistics network for enhanced efficiency and reliability.”
The development of the PSCH builds on PSA’s extensive experience in managing port adjacencies, including the PSA Keppel Distripark, which specializes in cargo consolidation and deconsolidation. Operations at Keppel Distripark, along with city terminals at Tanjong Pagar, Keppel, and Brani, will be consolidated at Tuas Port by 2027, further streamlining operations and enhancing cargo flows.
