Port Adelaide coach Ken Hinkley has reassured fans that the club has a strong handle on Ollie Wines' heart condition after the 2021 Brownlow Medallist was subbed out during Sunday’s narrow eight-point win over the Sydney Swans.
“Ollie has dealt with this before, and we’ve taken steps in the past to manage it," Hinkley said. "While it reoccurred today, we have confidence in our medical team and will continue to support him fully.”
Wines, who was seen back on the bench after the incident, was reportedly in good spirits.
“He’s comfortable. The positive thing is, he knows the signs and how to respond,” Hinkley added. “He self-diagnosed and came off saying, ‘My heart’s doing a few silly things right now.’ It sounds scary, but he and our medical team are very much in control of the situation. We’ll run all the necessary tests this week.”
Wines had previously revealed that he underwent a corrective procedure late last year to address the issue. Speaking to Adelaide Now in February, he said: “I had something done pre-Christmas, so as far as I’m concerned, it’s all fixed. I shouldn’t have the problem ever again.”

India should restore soybean exports to US in bilateral trade talks: SEA

The Solvent Extractors Association (SEA) has called on the Indian government to prioritise the revival of organic, non-GMO soybean and soybean meal exports to the United States during the ongoing Bilateral Trade Agreement (BTA) negotiations.

India previously exported around 150,000 to 200,000 tonnes annually of these specialty soybean products to the US. However, this trade came to a halt following the imposition of safeguard duties by the US, triggered by concerns raised by domestic American producers.

SEA emphasized that restoring this export channel would not only support Indian soybean growers and processors but also strengthen India’s position as a reliable supplier of organic agricultural products in the global market.
